I am painting because of a need to think about colors and shapes. I paint in the same way as I play the piano – with emotions and movement.
And rough gestures. I am fascinated by the aesthetics of wordless communication

copenhagen,
In April 2025, I was part of a group exhibition about abstract art in Copenhagen, curated by Isabella Gillborg. The space was beautiful, and I was happy to see nine of my paintings hung alongside the great works of the other artists

a logistical struggle,
I gave this painting away to a person I was deeply unhappy in love with, then I needed a break from seeing them. A month later, I had to arrange with a friend to get it back for my planned performance at the opening of an exhibition. Now, I have to return it again60 cm × 50 cm

I breathe between abstraction and figuration and I reach for materials where I feel safe
Performance is at the heart of my body of work – sometimes in an audiovisual manner by either playing Beethoven or improvising on the piano to my own paintings or videos
Piano has been with me since the late nineties. It started with an old piano from dad’s cousin - now I hold a master’s degree in classical piano. It’s been a relationship, ups and downs. But so much love. In my master thesis I was ranting about how the material always made me feel very free. As a child I loved being in water. Embracing water as a material is an ongoing process in which I am exploring piano performance and painting. My desire to connect different expressions and art forms coupled with the curiosity to paint and freely improvise by the piano, sparked a process focusing largely on having fun and create beautiful things. I am looking for other alternatives/lifestyles, and questioning where to look for beauty. I am aiming for honesty with some sense of humor
